Mission VIDHYA Anvaye Monitoring Related latest important notification declared Gujarat educational department gandhinagar

In the eighth edition of Gunotsav held in April this year, the Gujarat government found many students unable to read, write or solve simple mathematics problems. To help such students, the government has launched ‘Mission Vidya’, entrusting the

Out of a total 21,68,214 students from Class VI to VIII who underwent an evaluation under Gunotsav VIII in April this year, as many as 3,03,549 students of government schools failed to do simple mathematics.

Addressing as many as 70 thousand teachers across the state at 22 thousand centres, the CM gave his inputs through a video conference from his residence. The CM said that Gunotsav has had a fruitful output in improving the quality of education across the state. However, there are a few students from class 6 to 8 whose reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills can be improved. It is with this motive that the state government is starting the Mission Vidya.
The state government on Thursday launched a month-long campaign, ‘Mission Vidya’, to raise learning levels of students who scored low in the latest Gunotsav VIII evaluation.

Out of a total 21,68,214 students from Class VI to VIII who underwent an evaluation under Gunotsav VIII in April this year, as many as 3,03,549 students of government schools failed to do simple mathematics. In writing skills, 2,81,867 students failed, and 2,16,821 students could not read simple sentences. For these students, who are referred to as ‘priya balak’ (dear students), the campaign will be flagged off 
Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that due to the encouragement and support shown by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi the enrolment has now reached between 75% to 100 % and the school dropout rate has decreased from 37% to 3%.

Minister of State for Education Mrs. Vibhavari Dave, Chief Secretary Dr. J.N Singh, Principal Secretary of Education Department Mrs. Anju Sharma, Secretary to CM Mr. Ashwani Kumar and various other officials were present on the occasion.

Even after not changing the level of education, the state education department has released a fatwa of the program titled 'Mission Vidya', and the state's Chief Minister, including ministers and legislators, and BJP office bearers have formulated a program for inspection of schools. The government will again go to schools in the new program of Mission Vidya in the education department. For which the Education Minister has given orders to start schools one hour early in the program for the Sixth and Sixth standard. Against this, the anger of teachers, parents and students has spread.

The campaign will last for a month

For students, who are relatively poor in Reading, Mathematics and Writing, especially for students studying in standard 6-7-8, starting from July 26, 'Mission Vidya' will be started for one consecutive month.

"Mission Vidya" will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani who will be going to school

Ministers and high officials will monitor

Following the campaign for one month, third party evolution will also be done. Apart from this, during the campaign, students will be constantly monitored during the education process, and relatively weak students will be made equivalent to other students.

Booth Level Officer; A Representative of Election Commission at the Grass-Root Level

For enhanced participation of electors in the electoral process and reducing the electoral malpractices, it is essential to improve the quality of electoral registration process and of the electoral rolls. Booth Level Officer (BLO) is a local Government/Semi-Government official, familiar with the local electors and generally a voter in the same polling area who assists in updating the roll using his local knowledge. In fact, BLO is a representative of Election Commission of India (ECI) at the grass-root level who plays a pivotal role in the process of roll revision and collecting actual field information with regard to the roll corresponding to the polling area assigned to him.

Under Section 13B (2) of Representation of People Act, 1950, BLOs are appointed from amongst the officers of the Govt. /Semi Govt. /Local Bodies. Generally, one BLO is responsible for one part of the electoral roll. From August, 2006 the Commission has decided to introduce the concept of appointing BLOs who would be accountable for ensuring the fidelity of electoral roll.+

The ECI introduced this new system of appointing BLOs creating a clear line of accountability for preparation of an error-free electoral roll, making the BLOs its custodian at the polling booth level. Previously, voter-identification slips used to be distributed by the contesting candidates of various political parties and that gave scope for complaints. The preparation of accurate electoral rolls and direct distribution of voter identification slip by the BLOs also boosted voter confidence in the credibility of the election process.

BLO assists eligible citizens to become voters and obtain voter card. BLO provides those different forms for addition, deletion and correction of Electoral Roll entries, carries out physical verification, and gives his/her report to Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) .The BLO interacts with local people/ political parties’ representatives and identifies dead/shifted/duplicate voters to be removed from the electoral roll after due process of law. Booth Level Officer; A Representative of Election Commission at the Grass-Root Level

For enhanced participation of electors in the electoral process and reducing the electoral malpractices, it is essential to improve the quality of electoral registration process and of the electoral rolls. Booth Level Officer (BLO) is a local Government/Semi-Government official, familiar with the local electors and generally a voter in the same polling area who assists in updating the roll using his local knowledge. In fact, BLO is a representative of Election Commission of India (ECI) at the grass-root level who plays a pivotal role in the process of roll revision and collecting actual field information with regard to the roll corresponding to the polling area assigned to him.

Under Section 13B (2) of Representation of People Act, 1950, BLOs are appointed from amongst the officers of the Govt. /Semi Govt. /Local Bodies. Generally, one BLO is responsible for one part of the electoral roll. From August, 2006 the Commission has decided to introduce the concept of appointing BLOs who would be accountable for ensuring the fidelity of electoral roll.+

The ECI introduced this new system of appointing BLOs creating a clear line of accountability for preparation of an error-free electoral roll, making the BLOs its custodian at the polling booth level. Previously, voter-identification slips used to be distributed by the contesting candidates of various political parties and that gave scope for complaints. The preparation of accurate electoral rolls and direct distribution of voter identification slip by the BLOs also boosted voter confidence in the credibility of the election process.

BLO assists eligible citizens to become voters and obtain voter card. BLO provides those different forms for addition, deletion and correction of Electoral Roll entries, carries out physical verification, and gives his/her report to Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) .The BLO interacts with local people/ political parties’ representatives and identifies dead/shifted/duplicate voters to be removed from the electoral roll after due process of law. For the past decade in Gujarat, the government has done many programs and campaigns to improve the level of school education. Even after not changing the level of education, the state education department has released a fatwa of the program titled ‘Mission Vidya’, and the state’s Chief Minister, including ministers and legislators, and BJP office bearers have formulated a program for inspection of schools. The government will again go to schools in the new program of Mission Vidya in the education department. For which the Education Minister has given orders to start schools one hour early in the program for the Sixth and Sixth standard. Against this, the anger of teachers, parents and students has spread. Campaign will run for one month: ‘Mission Vidya’ will be started for 26 consecutive months from 26th of July across the state for students, who are relatively poor in reading, calculation and writing, especially among students studying in standard 6-7-8.
