GSEB SSC Result 2019: GSEB stands for Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board which is the board in the state of Gujarat responsibility of the SSC and HSC education in the state. It is a Government board for the education, which is responsible for the quality education system in all over Gujarat state. The major duties of the GSEB include academics, the issue of the syllabus or new syllabus, research and development and conducting exams. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has decided to make tougher the SSC multiple choice question (MCQ) paper. Say it interesting or untoward, but the board thinks its teachers are not up to the mark to do the job of setting tougher questions, and henceforth, has decided to outsource the work from some independent agencies.

The board’s officer on special duty (OSD), M M Pathan, revealed that an agency would be hired to devise a bank of tough MCQs that would aim at testing the students’ understanding about the subject. He further disclosed that last year around 5% questions in the MCQ paper of 50 marks were intentionally asked of a higher standard in order to scale up the knowledge level of board students. Following that, this year the number of tough questions would be bigger.

Viewing the competition scenario, the state board students should be in line with the students of central and international boards, and in order to make that happen, their level has to be raised, letting them perform equally well in the national level competitive exams, said.

Initially, the board had assigned the GSHSEB teachers for the task of formulating a bank of questions that would pose teasers to the students and cream out the brightest from the average students. But sadly, out of the 1, 500 questions submitted by the teachers of each subject, only 30 (apprx) were qualified to come into the category of 'tough'. Most of the questions were found to be picked from the guides available in the market.

Most teachers won't give you any other homework for the next week or so, in order to give you plenty of time to work on your paper, but my advice is 'don't use that time to work on your paper'. Relax, and work on the homework you have that's due the following day. Remember, you have a week to do the paper for a reason.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct Class 12 board exams from February 15 to April 3 and Class 10 board exams from February 21 to March 29. To give students sufficient time between consecutive papers, CBSE has released the board exam time table seven weeks before the exam date. The Board has made it clear that the exam dates have been fixed in a way that it doesn't coincide with the dates of competitive exams. Last year, the Board had to reschedule the Class 12 physics paper because it clashed with the JEE Main exam date.

The exam will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. However answer books will be given to students at 10 am. Students have to write their particulars on the answer book. The question paper will be distributed to students at 10.15 am.

CBSE offers 40 vocational subjects in Class 12 and 15 in Class 10. The exams for vocational subjects will be held earlier. This decision has been taken after the Delhi High Court order said that Delhi University should fix the cut off dates for admission to under graduate courses only after CBSE result are declared including result for re-evaluation.

"While preparing the date sheet, the admission schedule of Delhi University has also been considered,"said Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations.

Exams for core academic subjects will begin in March.

Out of 240 subjects it offers, this year students have opted for 30,000 combinations of subjects in both the classes.
